The Fastest Forming System for Concrete Tilt-up Walls
|

 |
FAST
Fast to Form:
Built to spec and lightweight, Tilt-Deck creates a FAST form, even on graded gravel.
- Pre-cut
- Lightweight
- Rough bed casting
|

|
FASTER:
Faster to tilt-up:
Integrated joist design means thinner bearing walls, lighter panels, and an easier, FASTER tilt.
- Reinforced design
- Reduced weight:
use up to 50% less rebar
and up to 40% less concrete
- Single point lifting
- Smaller crane required

Fast to Form, Faster to Tilt-up,
Fastest Return on Investment

|
Tailor-made or standard panels for all wall heights:
Tilt-Deck panels come pre-cut and labeled for quick and easy placement.
- Reinforced design
- Reduced weight
- Single point lifting

|
Patented Process: Self-supporting, Steel Beams and Furring Strips:
Any type of interior finish can be mechanically attached to the integral steel furring strips with screws (Furring Strips extended for clarity).
Patented Process: Integrated, Utility Chases:
Utilities are easier to install in pre-molded access chases (or channels). The Expanded Polystyrene can be easily removed, if needed, to allow for larger utility runs.

Features and Benefits
|
Designed to be the fastest method available for building a concrete tilt-up structure, Tilt-Deck® saves builders time, labor and money in the forming, tilt-up and finishing steps. The patented Tilt-Deck® system is made of lightweight, self-supporting, expanded polystyrene forms, which can be moved and placed quickly by hand. Designed for commercial building projects using tilt-wall applications, each project is pre-engineered and panels are delivered on-site pre-labeled for efficient placement and assembly.
Tilt-Deck’s patented forming system features and benefits:
- Self-Supporting forms eliminate need for a casting bed
- No bond breakers are needed, no sticking to slab
- Edges interlock with a simple tongue and groove design
- Standard panels for all wall heights
- Pre-cut in production to exact length for each product
- Form depths range from 7 to 12-1/2" to produce deep supporting ribs
- T-beam design reduces concrete by up to 30%
- Reduced concrete and weight allows for smaller cranes and bracing
- Panels can be designed larger for the same weight
- Reduced reinforcing steel means less weight and lower costs
- Panel contractor can deliver a value added assembly and eliminate multiple subs; i.e. interior furring, chasing, moisture barrier, insulation, exterior architectural finishes and trim can be completed before the lift
- Panels can be lifted hard-side out or in, depending on clients’ need
- Panels can be stack-cast on confined sites
- Reduced panel weight enables single point face lift
- Panels can be site-cast or pre-cast off-site/ and trucked in
- Utilities can be placed in wall chases before the pour
Once on-site, builders use a simplified three step "place it, pour it and tilt it" process. The Tilt-Deck® forms stay in place to make an integrated system. In addition to its quick pour and handling characteristics, Tilt-Deck’s integrated furring strip and utility chase features also save labor and materials in the finishing process.
Each Tilt-Deck® panel includes special features which simplify the finishing process to save time, labor and materials. Tilt-Deck® can be used as sandwich wall panels, or concrete can be poured on one side and interior features can be attached directly to the Tilt-Deck® system’s integrated furring strips with no adhesives. An interior finish can be attached directly to the Tilt-Deck® panel using only self-tapping screws. Integrated Utility Chases provide a ready-made conduit for installing utilities or other in-wall systems.
With the lightweight Tilt-Deck® system, trained crews can install Tilt-Deck® forms faster than with other systems. One contractor saved nearly two weeks while building a 20,000 square foot outpatient facility by using the Tilt-Deck® forming system for their tilt-up construction.
The Tilt-Deck® expanded polystyrene (EPS) form system is priced competitively with other tilt-up forming systems. To see the Tilt-Deck® system in use, or to learn more about a recent application of Insul-Deck’s tilt-up product solution, visit:
