Insul-Deck Helps Increase Long-Term Financial Return

Insul-Deck speeds forming - saving time and money. Insul-Deck is the lightweight forming system solution for concrete floor and roof construction. Insul-Deck comes pre-engineered, pre-cut, pre-labeled and staged for quick and easy placement on site.
Insul-Deck is the fast, flexible and safe method to build a concrete floor or roof that saves labor, time and money. This project by Todd Brothers Construction was designed to be sold in advance of construction according to a Todd Brothers' representative. Presales were very successful. "Over 80% of these units were sold in advance," said the representative. Their client base, which includes older age persons, look for safe and efficient apartments. Prospective buyers could see in the design that the condos were going to be soundproof and energy efficient using Insul-Deck leave in-place concrete forms for the roofs and floors. Also due to local regulations, each unit has to meet "fire-separated" requirements through the use of fire walls. The Insul-Deck formed concrete ceilings make excellent fire walls."Condos made of wood cannot be sold as individual units," stated the representative for Todd Brothers. Experienced crews are installing panels and rebar support and pouring concrete in one minute per square foot.
Insul-Deck offers a variety of insulation and roof or floor thicknesses. Form depths up to 12-1/2" produce deeper supporting ribs which allow spans up to 30 feet. The sound proofing Insul-Deck added to the concrete floors and roofs provided the three story condominium with a significant selling advantage - Peace and Quiet. Insul-Deck was used for each of the interior floors and roofs. Additionally, developers cited Insul-Deck’s energy-efficient insulation properties for making the project more attractive to investors.
Insul-Deck’s Patented Process Integrates Utility Chases within the forming system. Utilities are easier to install in pre-molded access chases (or channels). The Expanded Polystyrene can be easily removed, if needed, to allow for larger utility runs.
Insul-Deck’s patented process produces self-supporting, steel beams and furring strips molded into the ceiling. Any type of interior finish can quickly be mechanically attached to the integral steel furring strips with self tapping screws. Insul-Deck is faster form-to-finish per square foot than any other process. For Insul-Deck you only have three steps: place, pour and finish. For pre-cast and pan and deck you need a crane and/or have to remove the forms. With Insul-Deck: you pour it, you finish it - you can take it to the bank.
